Ad hoc Seminar – Matthias Soller
“Genes, Sex and the Brain”
Alternative processing of messenger RNA is a major mechanism to increase molecular diversity of the proteome and control its spatial and temporal expression. We are interested how differential mRNA processing e.g. by alternative splicing or methylation of nucleotides contributes to essential brain functions and sexual differentiation, and how such regulation affects behaviour.
