APPLY NOW: Imperial President’s PhD Scholarships

The Institute of Clinical Sciences seeks outstanding applicants for the first round of Imperial College London’s President’s PhD Scholarships.

The Institute of Clinical Sciences (ICS) is one of five departments within the Faculty of Medicine. It includes the MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS), a core-funded institute of the MRC whose principle investigators, postdocs and students work alongside ICS researchers and affiliated investigators from other departments and faculties. ICS scientists are grouped into three research divisions: Imaging Sciences, Molecular Sciences and Clinical Research.

The ICS’s focus is on world-leading fundamental research to explore the interface between genomics, physiology and epigenetics to gain a better understanding of metabolic diseases and how best to treat them, and to use mechanistic studies to evaluate the impact of environmental stresses on gene regulation, expression and inheritance.

We run a high-quality research training programme.  Our PhD students benefit from an exceptional, international research environment, with access to state-of-the-art facilities, and a broad range of training and professional development opportunities. Students with interests in molecular biology, genomics, physiology, biochemistry, structural biology and bioinformatics are strongly encouraged to apply.
