We are looking for an enthusiastic scientist to join a diverse research team that works at the intersection of organismal biology, metabolism, ageing, pharmacology and the Microbiota. Under the direction of Dr Filipe Cabreiro and postdoctoral members of the research team the post-holder will carry out work to support the research programme of the lab, providing a high level of technical expertise and advice. The project uses bacterial libraries and C. elegans mutants and transcriptional reporter lines to study host-microbe interactions. Expertise and hands-on experience in several of these areas is essential.

The successful candidate will be immersed in an integrative research environment with opportunities to work with other scientists from facilities within the institute. The candidate will also be exposed to the other work carried out by other groups within the LMS/ICS via frequent lectures and will gain experience in molecular techniques.
