About me:
I am an out of programme Metabolic Medicine and Chemical Pathology Registrar undertaking my PhD. The aim of my work is to investigate a strategy that optimises glucagon receptor agonism for the treatment of metabolic diseases using a combination of in vitro and in vivo approaches in mice and humans.
The Cellular Stress Group was formed in 1992, and the team led by David Carling aims to understand the physiological role of the AMP-activated protein kinase cascade in metabolism.
