About me:
I chose to join Computational Cardiac Imaging research group at the MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences, Imperial College London, due to its pioneering efforts in investigating the mechanisms underlying heart function. The group's multidisciplinary approach, combining cutting-edge techniques such as machine learning, cardiac motion analysis, genetics, and molecular cardiology, offers a unique opportunity to delve into the complexities of cardiovascular health. Moreover, their emphasis on collaboration, patient engagement, and innovative research methodologies align closely with my academic interests and aspirations. Joining this dynamic group, I am eager about the opportunity to contribute significantly to meaningful advancements in cardiovascular science.
We explore the mechanisms underlying heart disease by applying machine learning and data science techniques to capture complex traits in the heart, across diverse populations, for discovering genetic and environmental determinants of health. Our work aims to understand the mechanisms driving diversity in heart disease.
