About me:
Alasdair is a PhD student funded by a Roth Scholarship and is co-supervised by Philipp Thomas.
He received his master’s degree in Mathematics from Imperial, during which he worked on developing AI models to identify latent states in cell lineages. Alasdair is now working on deep learning methods to automatically track and classify cells from video footage.
We aim to understand the molecular mechanisms that control how cells enter and exit the cell cycle, combining microscopy with mathematical modelling to investigate these processes in healthy and cancerous cells.
