LMS role:

About me:

I earned my MD from the University of Basel, completing internships in plastic surgery and neurosurgery at Cambridge, Oxford, and Stanford. I am now pursuing a PhD in the lab of Dr. Silvia Santos at the Francis Crick Institute, looking at how cells acquire their fate during human development. I am investigating a key mechanism that maintains cell identity. Dr Alexis Barr from the LMS is my secondary supervisor on my research project. Through this work, I aim to enhance our understanding of healthy development and regeneration, as well as the disruptions in these processes that contribute to cancer progression. My research is supported by UKRI.
