About me:
Matías joined the Metzis Lab as a PhD student in September 2025. He completed a five-year integrated Master's in Mathematics at the National University of Rosario in 2024.
Now, Matías is researching the transcriptional mechanisms that underlie cell fate decisions during neural crest development, with a focus on developing and applying mathematical models of gene regulatory networks.
Our research aims to understand the molecular basis of cell identity, and the transcriptional control mechanisms that determine diversity in cell fate choice during embryonic development.
