Salary: £55,690- £62,682 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen within The Institute of Clinical Sciences (ICS) to join as a Lead Research Nurse who will be providing operational leadership and direction for the newly established Human In Vivo physiology core, which has two key aims:
Working collaboratively with clinician scientists and basic scientists within the ICS and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, the postholder will use extensive clinical and research expertise and be a skilled communicator with a passion for education and staff development. You will place a high priority on maintaining a supportive and caring environment for both patients and staff, an on developing the highest standards of clinical research.
The applicant will provide operational leadership for the ICS Human In Vivo Physiology Core and will work with ICS research teams to ensure delivery of clinical studies, applying nursing skills to clinical research, upholding patient safety and maintaining professional standards at all times. You will also ensure the governance of human in vivo physiology core in collaboration with the ICS research governance team.
You will be registered nurse and will possess professional Healthcare Registration with a UK Regulatory Body (NMC/ HCPC). Experience in clinical research with a proven ability to recruit to research studies is essential as well as knowledge of research methods and good practice guidelines.
