About me:

I joined the LMS as a BBSRC CASE PhD student in 2013 as part of the Cellular Stress (David Carling) group. I then conducted a postdoctoral fellowship for 1 year with the MRC LMS, followed by a 3 year postdoctoral fellowship with AstraZeneca, based in the Carling laboratory at the LMS. I am now an independent BBSRC Discovery Fellow, hosted by the Cell Stress group and by Dr Tricia Tan at the ICS. I cannot think of a better place to conduct my human adipose tissue research than at the LMS, with its close association with hospitals and a translational research focus.
