About me:
I am a Metabolic Medicine and Chemical Pathology Registrar currently out of programme, as I pursue my PhD. My research focuses on developing strategies to optimise glucagon receptor agonism as a treatment for metabolic diseases. I use a combination of in vitro and in vivo approaches in both mice and humans and my research is supported by UKRI.
The cellular stress group was formed in 1992, and the team led by David Carling aims to understand the physiological role of the AMP-activated protein kinase cascade in metabolism.
