About me:
I earned my MD from the University of Basel, completing internships in plastic surgery and neurosurgery at Cambridge, Oxford, and Stanford. I am now pursuing a PhD in the lab of Dr. Silvia Santos at the Francis Crick Institute, looking at how cells acquire their fate during human development. I am investigating a key mechanism that maintains cell identity. Through this work, I aim to enhance our understanding of healthy development and regeneration, as well as the disruptions in these processes that contribute to cancer progression. My research is supported by UKRI.
Our research aims to understand the molecular basis of cell identity, and the transcriptional control mechanisms that determine diversity in cell fate choice during embryonic development.
