About me:
I joined the LMS with a keen interest in cancer biology and experience with the Drosophila melanogaster model. In the Metabolism and Cell Growth lab I have been able to combine these two interests in a project on diet-induced obesity and cancer progression, using the Drosophila hindgut tumour model.
Redox signalling is a critical process within the cell essential for key signalling pathways. We are working to better understand the molecular processes that guide its role in metabolism, disease, and ageing, and to uncover novel pathways and potential therapeutic targets.
