About me:
I am currently a trainee in obstetrics and gynaecology and I work in the Martinez-Perez lab, which researches meiosis. My research focuses on how cohesin complexes contribute to the regulation of gene expression. My work is supported by UKRI and the Imperial NIHR Biomedical Research Centre.
The group focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms that ensure the correct transmission of chromosomes into the gametes during meiosis. Defects in this process are leading cause of sterility, miscarriages, and birth defects in humans.
