About me:

I joined the LMS in 2025 as an independent Imperial College Research Fellow embedded in the Cellular Stress group. I am interested in how exposures during early life affect development of babies to the extent that it changes their risk of developing diseases later in life. During my PhD at Cambridge and postdoctoral work at KCL and Imperial, I worked on maternal obesity, pathogenesis of gestational diabetes and impact of paternal liver disease on offspring. Currently I am studying a drug called "UDCA" as a potential alternative to metformin in diabetic pregnancy, focusing on fetal growth, adipose tissue development and offspring metabolic health.
