About me:
Michael obtained his PhD from Monash University under the supervision of Prof. Jose M. Polo, awarded in 2024. His research has focused on investigating the dynamics of cellular reprogramming and the development of novel techniques to dissect locus-specific protein complexes.
In 2024, Michael joined the Metzis lab to study how transcription factors impact cell fate decisions, exploring how they decide where and how to function in the context of nervous system development.
Our research aims to understand the molecular basis of cell identity, and the transcriptional control mechanisms that determine diversity in cell fate choice during embryonic development.
