About me:
During my transdisciplinary PhD, supervised by Dr Mikhail Spivakov, Dr Srinjan Basu, and Dr Thomas Ouldridge, I am investigating the function of poised enhancer-promoter contacts in early development through live-cell imaging and biophysical modelling. Before joining the LMS, I obtained my MScRes in Physiology, Anatomy, and Genetics from the University of Oxford (Salman Group), studying blood–brain barrier dysfunction and the therapeutic effect of photobiomodulation, and my BSc in Applied Medical Sciences from UCL. Along my love for science, I am also a passionate figurative oil painter and artist.
The functional gene control group headed by Mikhail Spivakov investigates the logic of gene regulation using a combination of experimental and computational approaches.
