About me:
I am a postdoctoral Chain Florey fellow and Gastroenterology doctor. My clinical interests include alcohol related liver disease, liver failure syndromes and cirrhosis associated immune dysfunction. My scientific research incorporates immunometabolism, innate immunity and mitochondrial research. I completed my PhD within the LMS exploring the role of mitochondria in alcoholic hepatitis associated immune dysfunction in 2024. I am currently building upon this work and applying immunometabolic research to liver disease in general.
Redox signalling is a critical process within the cell essential for key signalling pathways. We are working to better understand the molecular processes that guide its role in metabolism, disease, and ageing, and to uncover novel pathways and potential therapeutic targets.
