About me:
My work focuses on using electron microscopy (EM) to study the structure of biological molecules and cells. By imaging different samples at high resolution, EM allows us to visualize the architecture of macromolecular complexes and cellular structures that are otherwise invisible with conventional microscopy. Understanding these structures helps uncover how biological systems function at the molecular level.
The platform supports a wide range of projects, from determining protein structures using cryo-EM to exploring the three-dimensional organization of cells.
The EM facility provides equipment and expertise in the field of cryo-electron microscopy, particularly single-particle analysis for high-resolution structure determination, but also cellular imaging by TEM (Transmission EM) and SEM (Scanning EM).
