We explore the mechanisms underlying heart disease by applying machine learning and data science techniques to capture complex traits in the heart, across diverse populations, for discovering genetic and environmental determinants of health. Our work aims to understand the mechanisms driving diversity in heart disease.

The MR imaging facility fulfils a key aspect of the LMS mission by being at the forefront of innovative biomedical phenotyping, enabling fundamental research to be translated to clinical populations. The MR imaging facility supports LMS research into mechanistic understanding of disease processes affecting cardiovascular, psychiatric and metabolic systems.
