Helmholtz International Fellowship awarded to Amanda Fisher

 19 January 2015

Amanda Fisher, CSC Director, receives a Helmholtz International Fellowship.

The award from the Helmholtz Association, Germany’s largest scientific organisation, recognises outstanding senior scientists and research managers based outside Germany.

Amanda plans to use the €20,000 prize money to help build collaborative projects with members of the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC, Berlin) as well as with other Helmholtz-funded Centres. She is one of seven awardees, which include Jadwiga Anna Wedzicha from the National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College London. Helmholtz International Fellowship Awards were established in 2012 with the aim of strengthening collaboration with the world’s best researchers, and are personal awards made in recognition of an individual’s personality and service to science.

“I am always interested in collaborations between scientific institutions and I am incredibly grateful to the Helmholtz Association for giving me the opportunity to enhance interactions with the Max Delbrück Center,” says Amanda Fisher.
