About me:
I am a PhD student visiting from Radboudumc, the Netherlands. My research focuses on genetic kidney diseases that are caused by mutations in genes that encode transcription factors, which regulate gene networks that are important for kidney development and function. I was awarded a European Renal Association Long-term Fellowship to join Dr. Melanie Chan's Renal Genomics group for a year. We will study the genetics underlying congenital anomalies of the kidneys and urinary tract.
We aim to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying kidney development and disease, combining clinical data with large-scale genomic datasets and functional genomic approaches.
