About the role
The LMS is looking to appoint two Black Heritage Postdoctoral Scientists into our Emerging Innovators Fellowship programme, for 3 years. Each researcher will be assigned to a specific research group at the LMS relating to their research experience and interests. Shortlisted applicants will have the opportunity to develop their own research proposal with their prospective group leader which will determine their research focus for the duration of their training fellowship. The successful post holder will benefit from additional coaching support and mentoring to support them throughout their fellowship.
About you
You will have a PhD (or be set to receive a PhD by March 2025) in a discipline relating to the research group you are hoping to join. You will be from a Black heritage background, and will be either UK-domiciled or have completed part of your undergraduate or postgraduate education in the UK. You will have experience of planning, completing an independent research project, and the ability to perform techniques relevant to the research group indicated on your application. You will have to provide clear evidence of scientific outputs and achievements, to include publications, conference presentations, and collaborations with other institutes/industry.

* Additional allowances comprise a £1,000 lump sum Settlement Allowance plus a yearly Training Allowance of £850 in the first year, paid in monthly instalments. The Training Allowance increases to £1,300 in year two, and £1,800 in the third year.
