The MRC LMS has published the latest illustrated carton-style book in its “Pioneers of Progress” series. This is the second in the series, and tells the stories of a further eight women whose contributions to scientific discovery have had huge impact on the world we live in. Their work and scientific legacies have often gone unrecognised.
In this book, we tell the stories of Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, Lise Meitner, Barbara McClintock, Kathleen Lonsdale, Elsie Widdowson, Eva Crane, Katherine Johnson and Rosa Beddington.
