The MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS) is a world-leading biomedical research Institute based at Hammersmith Hospital that enjoys close links with partners at Imperial College London and the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. LMS research is supported by core funds from the Medical Research Council and is focused on making fundamental scientific discoveries that are relevant to understanding and treating human disease.

As Engagement Project Manager for the MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences you will manage the development and delivery of the LMS public engagement programme and Institute-wide projects. Including the development of the community engagement programme, women in science projects and training provision. The post-holder will work closely with the Head of GECo in developing the ongoing programme of audience-focused creative engagement. You will liaise with the MRC and Imperial engagement networks to help promote opportunities and share expertise.

Your role will involve project management, events management, stakeholder management for public engagement and other Institute events.

You will have a science-related degree or equivalent. We expect you to demonstrate excellent project management skills, have events management experience and excellent communication skills. Experience of public engagement project delivery and working with researchers is preferred. You will be used to delivering work to tight timelines and have experience of prioritising multiple projects. Proficiency in all aspects of MS Office software and basic competence in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign are essential requirements.
