A strategic priority for the LMS Director, Professor Wiebke Arlt, is to support and develop outstanding clinician scientists in training, who form an integral part of advancing transdisciplinary team science. Since 2009, the LMS has been home to the Chain Florey Clinician Scientist Training Programme, providing clinicians with the opportunity to undertake discovery research in the outstanding laboratories of the LMS. We are further developing the Chain Florey Programme to provide a wider range of career funding to clinician scientists, supported by a training and mentoring programme that ensures they can flourish in their career as a clinical academic.

The Programme Manager for Clinician Scientist Training is an exciting new role, responsible for the development and delivery of the Chain Florey Programme which provides opportunities from pre-doctoral training through to the transition to becoming a clinical group leader, and building the Scheme into a national training beacon for clinical researchers.

Working closely with the Institute Director, and the LMS Clinician Scientist Training Lead, you will develop successful recruitment campaigns, mentorship and bespoke training for clinical scientists, whilst overseeing the progression of Chain Florey fellows and promoting the scheme through effective networking and national outreach.

You will have a strong interest and passion for supporting clinical research careers, with expertise in project management and administration, and experience of leading on marketing campaigns to attract talent and raise awareness.
