Title: “Convergent mechanisms of longevity.”

Abstract: Research over the last several decades has revealed a handful of conserved metabolic signalling pathways as regulators of animal longevity. Whether these pathways converge on common processes and mechanisms is not well understood. Our recent work suggests that the nucleolus is common focal point of regulation within these pathways. Our current goal is to elucidate  how upstream inputs and downstream outputs of the nucleolus impact health and life.
